Bachelor's degree in engineering, 3 years' experience, Knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry, Knowledge of control theory, Knowledge of automatic temperature controls, Knowledge of building automation systems, Knowledge of other building subsystems, Experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems, Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience, Advanced computer skills, Computer-related drafting tools

Configure building control systems

Operate building control systems

Develop software programs

Troubleshoot building control systems

Create sequence of operations

Create bill of material

Create network layouts

Create electrical schematics

Develop software programs

Test software programs

Create equipment schedules

Track material delivery

Coordinate factory-mounting

Commission controllers

Validate system functionality

Troubleshoot problems

Provide field change information

Inform management of job progress

Perform site-specific training

Participate in release meetings

Perform value engineering

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs; Provide detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team and subcontractors; Coordinates and creates necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation; Coordinates factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule; Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation; Provides field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software; Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues; Assists in performing site-specific training for owner / operator on the total building control system; Participates in the release meeting with project field team; May provide work directions to Systems Design Assistants
