Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology or other Human Engineering related field of study, 3+ years of work experience in Human Engineering or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Nice to Have
Level 3 - Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ or Master’s and 3+ years' experience, Level 4 - Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years’ or Master’s and 7+ years' experience, Associate Certification from Board Certification in Professional Ergonomics or equivalent education, Understanding of Human System Integration (HSI) in the defense acquisition process, Knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STL-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-2525, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD 411F, DoDI 5000. 95, and JSSG-2010), Ability to derive Human Engineering requirements, Experience supporting defense programs, Experience in program documentation of the HE processes and products in a format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions (e. g. Human Engineering Program Plan, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Operator, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Maintainer, Human Engineering Test Plan, Human Engineering Test Report, et. al), Experience in working with a multi-discipline engineering team and aircrew operators/pilots, Experience with the user interface software prototyping tools, Experience with Usability software, Knowledge in Human Perception and Cognition, Experience with Human Performance Modeling and application to crew systems design, Experience in usability assessments with emphasis on vision, reach, operability, Experience in workload assessments and situation awareness assessments such as NASA TLX, Experience in conducting tasks analyses and mapping user workflow, Ability to evaluate designs against Human Readiness Levels (HRLs), Experience in Agile Development, Previous experience developing style guides and implementing UI design tenets, Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and hardware specialists, to create systems that are not only technically robust but also intuitive and user-friendly, enhancing overall efficiency and user satisfaction. **Position Responsibilities :** * Apply Human Engineering knowledge and principles to the analysis, design, and evaluation of complex systems * Define system performance requirements to ensure safe and successful human operation of physical, functional, and program interfaces for all system operators * Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of complex systems * Develop and implement research methodologies and analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes * Apply a knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD-411F) to meet program requirements * Provide technical requirements understanding and procurement oversight of cockpit hardware components (grips, lighting components, panels) * Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate HE considerations into the overall system design, development, and production. * Conduct user engagement activities throughout the design process v
