Full Job Description
Core One seeks a Human Resource Generalist who will be part of an energetic and motivated team that directly impacts the growth and success of our organization. The Human Resource Generalist has responsibility over the day-to-day activities within human resources. The position will interact daily with the Recruiting staff, Hiring Managers, Accounting, and Program Managers at the Company. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain day to day benefits administration and employee inquiries Oversee and execute new hire orientation, including onboarding logistics, and compliance tasks Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3-5 years of experience in HR Knowledgeable of the HR requirements for a mid-sized government contractor Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems Data-driven and detail oriented Must have excellent interpersonal skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Ability to work under tight timeframes and problem-solve Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance DESIRED SKILLS: Prior experience in government contracting Experience with Paylocity SHRM or HRCI certification About Core One Our mission is to be
