What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field, 2+ years of related or equivalent combination of education and experience, Solid understanding of employment law practices, Proven ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion
Nice to Have
Bilingual in Spanish or another language

Foster positive labor and employee relations
Facilitate workplace investigations
Maintain and enhance HR initiatives
Engage employees at all levels
Collaborate with plant management on retention
Manage job/vacation bid processes
Assist with job fairs
Assist with training and development workshops
Assist with new hire onboarding
Assist with labor relations
Assist with payroll processing
Partner with Talent Acquisition on job requisitions
Communicate and demonstrate Smithfield's ROI principles
Provide resources for employee knowledge
Assist with preparation and oversight of HR audits
Maintain accurate records in HRIS
Offer guidance on HR policies
Handle labor relation meetings
Handle records management
Handle employee inquiries
Handle community relations
Handle employee events
Collect and analyze HR data
Support on-the-job training initiatives
