What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Technical diploma or equivalent, HSE-related certifications (e. g. , Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Assessment, First Aid, Fire Safety)
Nice to Have
Basic training in environmental management is an asset, NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification, Additional training or certification in emergency response, fire safety, or first aid, Experience in mining, construction, or heavy earthmoving operations, Knowledge of local health, safety, and environmental regulations
What You'll Do.
Support the implementation of project-specific HSE management plans
Understand and apply key HSE documentation
Participate in hazard identification
Promote proactive reporting of unsafe acts and conditions
Support regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards
Deliver and support the implementation of HSE induction and training programs for all site personnel
Ensure all employees have up-to-date and complete training records
Conduct toolbox talks
and refresher sessions
Provide specialized training related to permits to work
and emergency procedures
Conduct daily site inspections and safety walks with operational teams
Participate in pre-start meetings and coach employees on safe work practices
Contribute to the review and updating of traffic management maps and site safety documentation
Support equipment and machinery inspections as required
Assist in the investigation of incidents
Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain accurate incident records and reporting
Maintain familiarity with the site’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
Support the implementation of site emergency procedures
Contribute to ensuring personnel are aware of and trained in emergency protocols
