Must reside in Oregon, Must pass a background check

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related experience, Six (6) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, At least two (2) of those years in a supervisory role, Experience in a unionized and/or public sector environment, Must pass a background check

Nice to Have

HR Certifications - S/PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, IPMA-CP/SCP, etc., Experience applying an equity lens in HR policy and programming processes, Experience with change management and organizational development

Lead all MCSO HR functions and initiatives

Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies

Foster a positive and productive organizational culture

Promote healthy employee relations

Effective recruitment & retention programming

coach and support the work of 25 professionals

Develop and implement proactive and innovative HR programs

Advise and consult across HR disciplines

Foster initiatives that promote wellness and equity

Research questions requiring interpretation of rules

employment work with professional standards

classification and compensation

unions and county attorneys to develop action plans

Actively participate in collective bargaining sessions

Provide leadership that cultivates a continuous improvement organization
