Provide expertise and coaching on interpretation of collective agreements
Provide expertise and coaching on non-union directives
Provide expertise and coaching on policies
Provide expertise and coaching on legislation
Provide expertise and coaching on jurisprudence
Provide coaching and advice on performance management
Provide coaching and assistance in conflict resolution
Represent Carewest as corporate representative
Advise counsel in grievance arbitration
Advise counsel in litigation
Advise counsel in quasi-judicial forums

## Description Position Details Position Status: Regular Full Time Location: Southport, Labour Relations BW Hours: 77.50 FTE: 1.00 Shift: Days Shift Times: 0800-1615 Union: Non Union Professional PCN: SPTLR004 Date Competition Closes: May 29, 2026 Position Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director, People, Talent & Wellness, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is the senior HR & labour professional assigned to a client portfolio. They work with an exceptional degree of independence to manage a full suite of human resource related business enabling activities across Carewest and with external stakeholders, with a primary focus on the employment & labour relationship across Carewest and with external stakeholders. The incumbent is able to resolve non-standard matters that may not be firmly rooted in policy or process that requires advanced interpretation or synthesis of information that is available internally or externally to Carewest. The HRBP, through analysis and sound judgement, provides effective recommendations and advice to site & corporate leadership on these matters, and is able to clearly articulate rationale that is balanced against enterprise risk, professional HR practice, and operational requirements that align with Carewest’s Frame of Reference. The HRBP works in concert with others in the Human Resources portfolio to ensure consistency of interpretation and application of HR processes & programs across assigned portfolio and Carewest as a whole. The HRBP bridges strategic partnering and tactical performance, and contains an element of transactional work to support business processes.
