Job Description: **Housekeeping Assistant** **Location:** Shockerwick House Care Home, Lower Shockerwick, Bath BA1 7LL **Contract:** Permanent **Hours:** Full Time and Part Time positions available **Salary:** £13.30 - £14.30 per hour **CQC rating:** Good **Carehome.co.uk rating:** 9.8 / 10 **This role requires you to have your own transport due to the homes location** Shockerwick House is an historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays for a minimum of one week and day care. The home is located on the outskirts of Bath’s World Heritage Site. The magnificent 17th century house is set in twelve acres of wheelchair friendly gardens, with an orangery and vegetable plot. The beautifully appointed rooms offer plenty of areas for residents to relax or socialise in. The home has a secure entry and exit system and a 24-hour call system so that residents feel safe and secure. All bedrooms have their own TV and telephone. **We make health happen** Here at Bupa we support those when they need it the most. Our care home is a place where every detail counts, and our team work together to ensure our residents feel right at home. **You’ll help us make health happen by:** * You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff * Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms * You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use
