Understands basic cleaning principles, Understands safety related to handling of chemicals, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization, Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format, Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

What You'll Do.
and wet mop tile floors
Report carpet cleaning needs
Vacuum carpeted rooms
Dust/damp clean surfaces in patient rooms
Clean behind and underneath furnishings
Move furniture to clean
Turn bed mattresses after cleaning
Clean dining area after breakfast
Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies
Remove and rehang curtains and draperies
Sweep outside porches
Follow cleaning schedules
Follow infection control standards
Use isolation techniques as needed
Recognize patient rights while cleaning
Safeguard chemicals used
Follow precautions for chemicals used
Assist in care and use of housekeeping equipment
Clean and store equipment at end of shift
Inspect equipment prior to use
Report equipment repairs needed
Maintain adequate supplies in bathrooms
Prevent/remove wax/dirt build-up
