It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role, to join the Silverchain team in Port Macquarie West and surrounding suburbs (Beechwood, Huntingdon, Redbank, Wauchope etc...). Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client. * Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help. In addition, you will need: * A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle * Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications. (no cert 3 required) The role In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as: * General housekeeping and making beds * Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors * Washing, folding and ironing laundry * Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
