What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in Physics, Optics/Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field, Experience in optical system development / optical design (e. g. , wave optics, diffractive optics, laser or display optics), motivation to bring designs into practice in a laboratory environment (e. g. , setup, alignment)
Nice to Have
knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Holography / diffractive optics / wave optics, knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Display technologies (e. g. , LCD, OLED, µLED, LCoS), knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Image processing, rendering, or computer-generated holography
What You'll Do.
and optimize experimental setups and prototypes in the lab
validate solutions through feasibility studies
select suitable optical
and mechanical components and integrate them into fully functional systems
define product requirements and specifications together with customers and internal stakeholders

collaborate closely with optics design, electronics, software, and manufacturing to develop robust and scalable solutions; close collaboration within a highly skilled, interdisciplinary technical environment
