What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required, Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project, Producer Quality Assurance/Truckers Quality Assurance certification, USDA Bonded, Captive bolt trained to euthanize downed pigs, Bobcat Safety Training Certificate, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
What You'll Do.
Oversee livestock movement from receiving to production
Ensure animal welfare and operational flow
and support administrative and production staff
Meet production goals while maintaining standards
Manage facility operations
Ensure compliance with regulations
Manage livestock rest times
Maintain and monitor FSIS regulations compliance
Monitor yard and truck conditions
Oversee animal welfare practices
Act as liaison between procurement and plant operations
Maintain status updates on incoming livestock
Complete daily water checks
Schedule facility maintenance
Ensure preventative maintenance on equipment
Manage inventory of barn supplies
Train employees on industry best practices
Conduct daily walkthroughs of barn/facility
Maintain leadership style focused on training
Promote professional growth of team members
Manage employee schedules
Conduct annual performance reviews
Host regularly scheduled line meetings
