Must Have

Minimum 18 years of age, 3 years of hockey experience, Can demonstrate on-ice hockey skills, Meet all USA Hockey and CAHA screening requirements and hold a Level 1 or 2 USA Hockey coaching credential, Must be able to ice skate and lift and carry up to 25 pounds while skating, Able to excel in a team atmosphere, Demonstrate a fun, energetic, and outgoing personality, can multi-task and solve problems in a fast-paced work environment, Flexible must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required, Team player who enjoys working in a team environment, Have knowledge and a clear understanding of the USA Hockey American Development Model Association Program (ADM), Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and a good driving record, Customer service oriented, Hardworking, detail-oriented, and results-oriented, Project a professional image that reflects our Rinks company values, Passion for teaching, Possesses dynamic characteristics – energetic, assertive, driven, enthusiastic, and fun

What You'll Do.

Assisting on and off the ice

Teaching at skill development stations for all Hockey Development programs

Assist Learn to Play Hockey programming on and off-ice activities

assisting players with gear

and other assigned duties

Assist Hockey Initiation programs

including teaching skill development stations

Support all Rinks hockey programs and assist skill development for all assigned Rinks programs

including rec-league clinics and practices

Assist with ice set up

Stay with your assigned skill station and keep the group organized

Be familiar with Rinks “Next Steps” Programs

The Rinks develops hockey programs within our local area and beyond. Our program’s success begins with providing our guests with a great experience at our facilities. Hockey Instructors are the instrumental staff responsible for upholding our Rinks standards while making the guest experience great. Hockey Instructors should be dynamic, keep players engaged, organized, and safe, and ensure that the players have fun. Hockey Instructors, Level 1 are responsible for assisting on and off the ice and teaching at skill development stations for all Hockey Development programs. ​​ ** _Responsibilities_** * Assist Learn to Play Hockey programming on and off-ice activities, including check-in, assisting players with gear, rink supplies set up, and other assigned duties * Assist Hockey Initiation programs, including teaching skill development stations * Support all Rinks hockey programs and assist skill development for all assigned Rinks programs, including rec-league clinics and practices * Be a positive ambassador for the sport of hockey and The Rinks * Hockey Coaches/Instructors
