We are looking for a History Teacher for an International high school located in Guangzhou. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year in August 2026. About the role Located in Guangzhou’s Nansha District, this public boarding secondary school offers a strong international education pathway with AP, A-Level, and IB programmes. The school is known for its foreign language focus, broad liberal arts curriculum, and preparation for overseas university study, combining Chinese educational values with an international outlook. Job details * Teach History to high school students * Support preparation for AP, A-Level, or other international assessments where applicable * Design schemes of work, assessments, and grading rubrics aligned with international standards * Provide clear, detailed feedback on essays, source-based responses, and extended writing * Supervise extended research projects, such as coursework, capstone essays, or historical investigations * Facilitate high-quality classroom discussion grounded in historical evidence, interpretation, and analysis * Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with the department team **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree or above (Master’s preferred) in History or a related field * Minimum 2 years of secondary or post-secondary teaching experience * Familiarity with MLA / APA / Chicago citation systems * Ability to guide students in academic research and thesis development * Experience teaching international or ESL students **Benefits** * Monthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications * Residence and work permit sponsored * Summer and winter holidays * Public holidays * Medical insurance * Other benefits
