Must Have

High School or equivalent, 1 year Experience as a Histotech or Dermatology Lab Technician in an Acute Care Facility or Outpatient Surgery Setting, Experience in specialized stains, cutting, embedding, computer experience, quality control, QC evaluation, inventory control, preventative maintenance and quality improvement, 3 years Clinical training in an approved Histology Training Program, Organization/time management skills, Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior, Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, Knowledge of medical terminology

Nice to Have

Associate’s Degree Degree in related field, Histology Technician ASCP Certification

What You'll Do.

Processing all tissues and fluids submitted to the department

Preparing/staining tissue slides

Assuring slides are available in a timely manner for Pathologist review
