All of Lansing School District’s team members are dedicated to our mission to provide an excellent education to all students in a safe and nurturing environment. ## Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Spanish education or related field (Spanish, Spanish literature, etc.) Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values ## Preferred Qualifications Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with Spanish language endorsement (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess) Previous successful teaching experience in urban setting ## Job Responsibilities Demonstrate passion for and expertise of high school Spanish Provide world-class instruction in various Spanish content areas Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission ## Work Environment & Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to move throughout the building and campus, including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
