Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or Music Performance, Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Education Agency, EC-12 Music certification upon hire, Ability to interact appropriately with the public, Ability to collaborate with colleagues
Nice to Have
Master's degree preferred, Minimum of 1 year of Full-time teaching experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Assist Head Choir Director with planning instructional program
Assist in managing campus choral program
Fulfill professional responsibilities teaching high school choir
Assist with management of instructional program
and maintain progress with group and
Plan appropriate learning activities
Implement an instructional program
Assess student achievement
Maintain appropriate assessment documentation
Manage allotted learning time
Manage behavior of learners
Assist and participate in management of student behavior
Monitor and enforce compliance with Student/Parent Handbook
Ensure classroom environment is attractive
Perform all duties assigned by Head Choir Director
and large ensemble instruction
Communicate continually with students on instructional expectations
Keep students informed of their progress
Ensure continuous communication with parents
Comply with established FBISD policies and procedures
Ensure standards of professional conduct are maintained
Understand and uphold all rules
Participate in all UIL
TMEA and FBISD sponsored
Encourage student participation in competitions/events
Participate in in-service
professional learning activities
Support and assist feeder programs
