A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions., A special license – such as CDL – or certificate may be required for some positions., Participates directly in emergency response operations relating to activities conducted at the facility's site and transportation activities, both on and off-site, which involve the facility's equipment and personnel.

Must Have
2 or more years of related experience, Performs a variety of tasks in order to assist and direct the public in the collection, handling and disposal of hazardous waste collected from households and accepts incoming waste material for the identification, separation, packaging and recycling or disposal of hazardous and performs other related duties as assigned., Receives direct or general supervision from the Household Hazardous Waste Program Administrator., Ensures safe use of facility by providing traffic control and safe unloading and management of hazardous waste., Performs general maintenance of the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility, including site set-up, clean up, basic maintenance and repair, inventory, routine inspection, bulking, unloading, and lab packing of hazardous waste., Responds appropriately to spills and releases of hazardous wastes by either performing containment and minor clean up or activating emergency response protocols., Performs hazardous categorization tests to identify unknown materials for proper labeling and subsequent disposal., Under direction, prepares and loads shipments of hazardous waste., Operates and maintains a variety of vehicles and equipment including trucks, forklifts, and pumps., Contributes to a positive work environment by participating in solutions to problems as they occur., May provide direction and/or training to contract or temporary staff., Performs other related duties as assigned.

Assist supervisors in coordinating operations personnel activities
Oversee inventory compliance and maintenance of supplies
Coordinate with vendors
and treatment facilities
Provide housekeeping of waste handling/processing areas
Direct off-loading operations for receipt of materials
effective treatment of wastes
Make decisions consistent with waste profile data
Determine batch clearance approvals for filtering of effluent
Collect post-treatment samples wastes for suitability
Notify personnel of maintenance requirements
Review and sign RCRA manifests
Ensure personnel abide by safety rules
Train facility personnel relating to processing procedures
Escalate individual performance feedback
Substitute for workers during absence
Participate in emergency response operations
Perform other related duties as assigned
