Full Job Description
Optme Group is looking for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to support a major logistics operation at Gatwick Airport. This isn’t long-haul work – you’ll be making short, fixed runs between the Gatwick Consolidation Centre and the Airside Operation. **Start Date:** * **June or July 2026** **What's on Offer:** * Rate of Pay: £18.73 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension) * Shifts Pattern: 4 on 4 off (**2 Days** , **2 Nights** , **4 Off**) * Hours: 40 hours per week * Shift Timing: Example times below * Staff parking * Weekly pay (Every Friday) * Temp to Perm (performance-based) **Key Duties:** * Drive a Class 2 vehicle between two fixed airport sites (short distance only) * Load, unload and deliver goods * Collect returns and empty equipment for return to the consolidation centre * Follow all customer-specific and airport procedures * Maintain regular contact with the warehouse management team * Check all goods against the manifest and report any discrepancies * Visually inspect items for damage and record any issues promptly * Secure loads correctly and ensure they stay within weight limits * Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete Ops 13 paperwork * Comply with working time rules, CPC requirements and tachograph regulations * Perform any reasonable additional duties as required **Requirements:** * You must hold a Full UK Driving License. * You must hold a valid CPC and Digi Card. * Great understanding of the English language. * Passionate and take pride in their work. * Must be able to provide 5-year checkable history, in order for us to obtain your blue airside pass. * Drug and alcohol testing will be required prior to employment. **Shifts:** The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a rolling rota.
