We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Carlisle to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, with ideal shift patterns available on Days below: * Sunday to Thursday Days * Tuesday to Saturday Days * Friday to Monday Days Shifts typically start between 04:00 and 07:00. We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don’t quite suit your availability, let us know what you’re looking for, we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences. Weekend working may be required in line with business demand. Pay Rates: We have increased our pay rates , with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour , depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us. * Mon-Fri Days - £14.60 per hour * Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour * Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour. On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance Driver Responsibilities: * General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores * Collections from Stores to load out to Factories and Distribution Centres * Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages * Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation * Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism * Working closely
