What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1 year of experience as a technician working on heavy equipment, Minimum of 1 year of prior experience as a technician working on heavy equipment, Mechanical Trade School certificate or degree, Certificate in electrical diagnostics, Working knowledge of Tier 4 emission systems, Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position requiring knowledge and application of OSHA Haz OSHA Lock Out Tag Out and all OSHA Fire Protection regulations
Nice to Have
ASE Certification, Applicable ASE certifications, Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
What You'll Do.
Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance on compact heavy equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance on light service equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance on light trucks
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on electrical vehicles
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on gasoline vehicles
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on compactor
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on excavator
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on wheel loader
Read and interpret equipment condition reports
Read and interpret repair orders
Communicate with supervisor for clarification
Communicate with operator for clarification
Discuss preventive techniques with operators
Complete paperwork associated with repairing equipment
Account for applied times
Complete daily consumables report
Provide information for input into Dossier
Collect and interpret analyses from oil sampling
Collect and interpret analyses from on-board computer
Collect and interpret analyses from fleet management software
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Perform overhauls on gas or diesel engines
