What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Red Seal/Journeyperson Underground Mechanics, Underground equipment experience is required, proficiency in Sandvik and Maclean equipment is required, Journeyperson-Certified Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification is required, Underground Common Core, Previous experience working as an Underground Mechanic in a remote camp setting is required
Nice to Have
Arctic experience would be an asset, Must be familiar with Volvo Diesel Engines
What You'll Do.
Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance installing component and part controlling completing winterization procedures.
Corrects equipment deficiencies by removing
and replacing major assemblies
adjusting and alignments including bearing loads
Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test adjusting controls and systems.
Oversee vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing.
Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating troubleshooting maintaining performing preventive calling for repairs.
Willing to work in remote sites outside of a shop.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying placing verifying receipt.

Facilitate and or participate in daily tool box meetings.
