What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification, Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr), 3+ years experience as a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, with demonstrated time in the field, skills in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems, ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
Nice to Have
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial, Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience, Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset, Red Seal endorsement
What You'll Do.
Troubleshoot and perform running repairs on mechanical
and electrical systems
perform preventative maintenance across a wide range of Caterpillar Mining Equipment
repair and maintain CAT equipment in a field environment
Respond to customer needs in a positive
and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication
