What You'll Do.
Retrieve patient records from the electronic health record
microfilm as requested by internal/external customers
Prepare charts for scanning
index documents in accordance with established procedures
Answer department telephone and respond to faxed requests from internal and external customers
and person to person (walk-ins) requests related to health information management functions
such as chart requests
Sort charts following patient discharge
Log and complete medical requests for patient information
Other duties as assigned to ensure department workload is covered
