Must Have
High School Diploma or GED, Basic computer proficiency, Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment, Professional verbal and written communication skills, Detail and quality oriented, Data entry skills, Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Experience in a healthcare environment, Previous production/metric-based work experience, In-person customer service experience, Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers, Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback
What You'll Do.
Process release of information requests
Safeguard patient's right to privacy
Ensure releases comply with request
Maintain confidentiality and security with privileged information
Maintain working knowledge of software
Adhere to Code of Conduct and policies
Inform manager of work
Assist with additional work duties
Apply medical privacy regulations
Manage patient health records
Safeguard patient records
Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
Prepare new patient charts
Gather documents and information
Assemble medical records in standard order
Ensure records are accurate and complete
Create digital images of paperwork
Respond to requests for patient records
Retrieve and transmit patient records
Answer inbound/outbound calls
Assist with patient walk-ins
Assist with administrative duties
