Must Have

Master's degree in health information administration or a related field of study, Certification by AHIMA as Registered Health Information Administrator, Five plus years of experience in healthcare medical record management, Designing, coordinating, and evaluating medical records systems within an electronic health record environment

What You'll Do.

Direct health information management functions

Document and enforce health information management policies

Coordinate electronic health record design and content

Establish procedures for monitoring medical record systems

Promote increased use of technology

Provide training on medical record processes

Coordinate electronic record design

Assure consistency in practices and standards

Develop standards for EHR maintenance

Provide oversight of storage and destruction processes

Serve in leadership role for EHR Oversight Committee

and evaluate privacy plan

Establish and administer process for complaints

Ensure appropriate privacy and confidentiality forms

Oversee privacy training and awareness

Provide consultation and training

Provide consultation on releases

Coordinate record retrieval for reviews

Maintain current knowledge of privacy laws

Use continuous quality improvement principles
