Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related quantitative field, 6–10+ years in energy markets, trading analytics, fundamental power research, or system operations, 2–4 years in a people leadership role, Demonstrable experience covering North American power markets, Proficiency in Excel, Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, SQL, R, MATLAB, or C++), Knowledge and prior experience implementing machine learning to analytics
Nice to Have
Advanced degree (MSc, MA, MBA) preferred with related commodity concentration, Experience with Market Data vendors, Experience with ISO portals, Experience with EIA data, Prior experience supporting a trading desk in a high-frequency decision environment, Track record of building automated analytics pipelines, Track record of building scalable forecasting systems, Knowledge of regulatory frameworks across major North American ISO markets, Knowledge of transmission planning processes across major North American ISO markets
