What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years in payments operations, fintech, or payment processing, Hands-on experience managing payment flows at scale, Deep expertise in payment service providers (Stripe, Adyen, Checkout, etc. ) and their operations, Experience with dispute and chargeback management, Proven ability to reduce rates and improve outcomes, Familiarity with payment orchestration, payment routing logic, and multi-PSP strategies, analytical skills, Comfort with payment metrics, A testing acceptance strategies, and data-driven decisions, Negotiation and relationship management, Ability to work effectively with payment partners, product teams, and internal stakeholders
Nice to Have
Merchant of Record (MoR) or complex payment orchestration experience, Global payments experience, Multi-currency, regional PSP differences, and compliance nuances, Technical background or partnership with engineers, Comfort reading payment logs, understanding failure modes, collaborating on technical optimization, Startup experience, Ability to move fast, wear multiple hats, and optimize for early-stage business priorities
