Full Job Description

Role: Head of Marketing Location: LA-based preferred. Remote considered for the right candidate, with willingness to visit LA for planning weeks. Salary/Compensation: $160k – $190k + equity ABOUT OUR CLIENT: Our client is an AI-powered journaling and self-reflection platform helping people deepen self-awareness, build emotional intelligence, and make visible progress toward the life they want. The experience sits at the intersection of journaling, coaching, and AI-guided reflection. They have reached 500,000+ downloads, 20,000+ paying customers, and $2.5M ARR and growing. The company recently raised a $6M seed round led by top-tier investors and operators. 75% of users report meaningful improvement within 7 days, and independent Stanford research has validated the product’s impact on self-relationship. The founding team has previously built and scaled consumer products used by millions, and has spent years working at the intersection of technology, psychology, and personal growth. The mission is deeply personal: mentorship and mental health support have historically only been accessible to those who can afford it. Their goal is to make that support significantly more accessible through technology. POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client is approaching a significant brand refresh and relaunch. The product is maturing. Unit economics are working. The team is small and the surface area is large. This hire walks into a defining moment - and owns it fully. This is not a role where you inherit a machine and optimize it. This is a role where you build the machine, set the standard, and shape what the brand becomes at its most important inflection point. This role reports directly to the CEO and is designed as a path to CMO as the team scales. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Own growth strategy end to end. Bring your own conviction about which engines will carry the next stage. Not five bets - one clear thesis, executed with depth. - Own creative quality across every customer-facing surface
