Full Job Description

About Treeswift The way energy companies manage their infrastructure hasn't kept pace with the challenges they face. Treeswift is changing that, helping utilities modernize their field operations with AI-powered technology that reduces risk, improves reliability, and scales with the demands of a rapidly changing grid. We deploy AI-powered sensor systems into utility field operations, mounted on backpacks and vehicles, to collect LiDAR and imagery data at scale. Our models turn that raw data into actionable intelligence: reducing wildfire, outage, and regulatory risk from vegetation; preventing cost overruns on new construction; and accelerating recovery after storms. Since our first utility pilot in June 2024, we've grown to work with three of the five largest utilities in the United States. We're just getting started. Our team brings deep experience from Penn, Caltech, CMU, Palantir, Stripe, and Oracle, and we're backed by leading investors including Penny Pritzker's Inspired Capital. We're headquartered in lower Manhattan with an office in Philadelphia and field presence across the country. We're moving fast on a problem that matters. The work we do has real consequences for real people, and there's a lot of runway ahead. Come build it with us. The Position: Treeswift is looking for a reliable, hands-on Hardware Repair technician based in San Francisco to keep our hardware running in the real world. You'll be the person on the ground — diagnosing issues, making repairs, and ensuring our devices perform at their best wherever they're deployed. What You’ll Do: - Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our hardware systems (LiDAR, sensors, cameras, power units) - Visit PG&E offices across California to retrieve, assess, and return devices - Follow diagnostic checklists and resolve issues before they escalate - Communicate directly with utility staff in a professional, customer-facing capacity - Coordinate with our engineering team to flag recurring issues and share field f
