Eligibility Requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted, Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position, Willingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, jib, crane or hoists, Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed, U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (i. e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Blue’s Standard Background Check, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10, 001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training., Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

What You'll Do.

facilitating the flow of aerospace hardware and equipment to and from various work centers or departments for various spaceflight systems

tooling and equipment in support of manufacturing

Coordination with all applicable Blue Origin departments to ensure on-time delivery of raw material

consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers

Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center

Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation/movement

Cross-reference and confirm part quantity

labeling and routing sheet persist with hardware throughout plant movements

Ensure inventory movements are properly transacted and accurate

Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by escalating observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process

Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers

Participate in Tier II production meetings to communicate part status information to management/leadership

Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to development/refinement of queuing software

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for facilitating the flow of aerospace hardware and equipment to and from various work centers or departments for various spaceflight systems. This scope will require detailed coordination with cross functional teams to ensure accurate compliance with work orders and efficient movement of parts, materials, consumables, tooling and equipment in support of manufacturing. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of manufacturing and production.
