What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related hardware field, 6+ years of program management experience in a high-technology environment, understanding of hardware NPI lifecycle, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar), Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences, program tracking and reporting capabilities with attention to detail, Proven problem-solving able to proactively identify risks and drive resolution, Ability to influence and guide cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams, Hands-on experience working with hardware development, including prototype management and constraints, Familiarity with hardware NPI processes and lifecycle phases

Nice to Have

Experience in high-end routing and switching hardware systems is preferred, Project/Program Management certification (e.g., PPM), MBA or Master’s degree in a related field

What You'll Do.

Serve as the key liaison between hardware engineering and cross-functional teams during the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle

Work across multiple product lines

Ownership of program planning

and communication to ensure delivery against aggressive timelines

Develop and maintain integrated project plans for hardware functions

Drive alignment across hardware teams to ensure commitments are met

Proactively manage risks

and conflicts across cross-functional teams

Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules

incorporating forecasting where needed

Represent hardware engineering in cross-functional program meetings

Communicate program status concisely using metrics and measurable indicators

Drive alignment across hardware teams (including DVT and Compliance); Manage risks, dependencies, and conflicts across cross-functional teams; Represent hardware engineering in cross-functional program meetings; Influence and guide cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams

Communication Scope

Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences; Lead clear, data-driven reporting for executives, management, and NPI stakeholders; Communicate program status concisely using metrics and measurable indicators

Process & Methodology

Develop and maintain integrated project plans, Resource allocation, Milestones and schedules, Budget tracking, Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules, incorporating forecasting, program tracking and reporting capabilities, Project/Program Management certification (preferred)
