MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE Employer: AMAZON.COM SERVICES LLC Offered Position: Hardware Dev Engr II Job Location: North Reading, Massachusetts Job Number: AMZ9081168 Position Responsibilities: Design innovative electromechanical systems for industrial robotic systems. Perform test validation of our next generation devices. Identify and validate product risks and work with design teams to mitigate them. Define test methodology and test coverage to assure product reliability. Experimental design and execution. Perform reliability prediction of failure mechanisms, products under development and products in the field. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have two years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) use of core mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, and machine design; (2) applying engineering mathematics; (3) experience with material properties and selection; (4) experience with SolidWorks or similar Computer Aided Design (CAD) and understanding of best practices for part design, advanced assemblies, and complex configuration management; (5) creating detailed technical drawings and specifications; (6) running Finite Element Analysis simulations to inform final engineering designs; (7) experience prototyping engineering designs to prove effectiveness against requirements, create and execute test plans, and inform project engineering decisions.
