Full Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Come work at Amazon! As a HDE, you will be a part of a team of experts working on the development of advanced modem products for space and ground use. You will own or contribute to the following: • Design digital and analog circuits in collaboration with various teams • Design for high-speed serial links that interface to FPGA and/or SoC circuitry • Optimize board design for high-speed serial bus • Design and optimization of different blocks of electronics sub-systems. • Perform schematic capture and guide and review PCB layout implementation • Work with software teams on HW/SW integration. • Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures • Lead board bring-up and test campaigns of modules and subsystems • Work in the lab environment with various equipment like Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, etc. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. A day in the life As a HDE, you will work in a multi-disciplinary environment to design and deliver hardware for space. This requires the ability to work from concept to production. Candidates must be comfortable to work in the lab to debug and verify their designs. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where product owners are expected to deliver results by solving technical problems quickly. About the team The RF Hardware team is full of talented engineers. They cover a wide range technical areas from power supplies, high speed digital, mixed signal, and RF. So, members of this team need to be comfortable in multiple domains
