What They're Looking For.
Must Have
at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”, Minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite design and/or operation, GNC fundamentals and spacecraft system level knowledge, deep familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Matlab/Simulink, minimum 5 years' experience, ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship, A final U. S. Top/SCI clearance Post Start is required
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or science related discipline strongly preferred, Minimum 1 year of experience as a technical leader managing complex projects or teams of engineers, 7+ years experience in satellite design and/or operation, Advanced understanding of classical and modern control theory, system-level trade studies, architecture development, systems integration & analysis, Experience defining satellite & constellation CONOPS, Familiarity with GNC hardware components (e.g. reaction wheels, control moment gyroscopes, rate/acceleration/magnetic field sensors, star trackers, propulsion systems, etc.), fundamentals of project management, including monitoring cost and schedule performance, Functional management experience, Possess active U. S. Top Secret/SCI clearance

Deliver the GNC subsystem for a program/constellation
Perform subsystem/system level analysis to ensure requirements compliance
Develop and validate Flight Control Software (FCSW)
Provide mission and system design inputs
Develop critical analysis products
Develop software/algorithms
Support satellite integration and test (I&T)
Provide on-console support for on-orbit operations
Manage team of ~10 engineers
including mentorship task assignments

And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen. _**Job**_** _ Summary_: ** The Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) Engineering Team delivers the GNC subsystem for a program/constellation. This includes subsystem/system level analysis to ensure requirements compliance, sensor and actuator selection, and Flight Control Software (FCSW) development and validation. Engineers in the GNC group are integral throughout the entire program lifecycle, providing mission and system design inputs, critical analysis products, software/algorithm development, support to satellite integration and test (I&T), and on-console support for on-orbit operations. As the GNC Engineering Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for technical, budget, and resource allocation to meet team member needs, customer requirements, program needs, and company goals. You will set the engineering standard for the team, define roles and responsibilities, establish processes/workflow, and facilitate mentorship and training by GNC Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). You will ensure that programs are adequately staffed and program objectives are met on time and on budget.
