Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent, 5+ years’ experience with Matlab/Simulink, 5+ years’ experience and/or education in aircraft stability and control, 5+ years’ experience in team or project leadership, Ability to obtain a U. S. Security Clearance, U. S. Citizenship required, Final U. S. Secret Clearance Post-Start required
Nice to Have
10 or more years’ relevant work experience, MS or PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Experience designing flight control laws for rotorcraft, Experience supporting rotorcraft flight test, Experience in linear stability analysis, 5+ years’ experience with C, C++, and/or FORTRAN

Lead a team of high performing engineers

Lead flight control law design efforts
Contribute to flight control law design efforts
Achieve desired characteristics for dynamic control response
Achieve gust or disturbance rejection
Achieve system failure robustness
Achieve loads considerations
Lead development of physics-based linear flight simulation models
Contribute to development of physics-based linear flight simulation
Develop mathematical models of rotorcraft components
Participate in wind-tunnel testing
Participate in flight testing
Support model validation
Lead design of new rotorcraft configurations
Contribute to design of new rotorcraft configurations
Lead design of modified rotorcraft configurations
Contribute to design of modified rotorcraft configurations
Lead wind tunnel testing
Contribute to wind tunnel testing
Lead pilot-in-the-loop flight simulation
Contribute to pilot-in-the-loop flight simulation
Lead hardware in the loop laboratory testing
Contribute to hardware in the loop laboratory testing
Apply tools such as Matlab/Simulink
Apply other modern programming languages
Apply legacy programming languages
Collaborate with test pilots
Collaborate with engineers in other engineering disciplines
Optimize vehicle level characteristics
Support training other team members
Support mentoring other team members
