Ability to obtain a U. S. Security Clearance, U. S. Citizenship required, Final U. S. Secret Clearance Post-Start required, Ability to travel 10% of the time, Occasional travel to support flight testing at off-site locations, Test sites could include cold weather sites, high altitude sites, or ships at sea, Works on optional “9/80” schedule, Must meet U. S. export control compliance requirements, Must be a “U. S. Person” as defined by 22 C. F. R. §120. 62

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, 5+ years’ experience with Matlab/Simulink, 5+ years’ experience and/or education in aircraft stability and control, 5+ years’ experience in team or project leadership

Nice to Have

10 or more years’ relevant work experience, MS or PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Experience designing flight control laws for rotorcraft, Experience supporting rotorcraft flight test, Experience in linear stability analysis including aero-servo-elastic effects, 5+ years’ experience with C, C++, and/or FORTRAN

Contribute to flight control law design

Develop physics-based simulation models

Validate simulation models

Design rotorcraft configurations

Support wind tunnel testing

Support flight simulation

Support hardware testing

Support flight testing

Apply programming languages

Collaborate with test pilots

Collaborate with other engineering disciplines

Optimize vehicle characteristics

Support training/mentoring
