What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master's degree in business, Economics, Law, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or similar, 10–15 years of experience in corporate sustainability, exposure to topics such as climate, energy, circularity, workforce and governance, Proven international exposure, Fluent in English, Dutch, French
Nice to Have
Experience in construction or infrastructure is a plus

Lead strategy design and implementation
Act as key advisor to executive leadership
Drive measurable impact across dimensions
Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks
Define and refine Group-wide sustainability strategy
Anticipate and monitor key trends
Establish clear KPIs and reporting mechanisms
Integrate sustainability into frameworks
Lead cultural transformation
Design and roll out training programmes
Build and lead global sustainability network
Develop incentive structures
Lead Group’s full compliance
Ensure alignment with international standards
Drive collaboration with Legal
Leverage data and analytics
Build and manage relationships with stakeholders
Shape BESIX’s sustainability positioning
Represent the Group in forums
Develop and structure sustainability team
Coach and empower stakeholders
Foster alignment and collaboration

Team & Collaboration
Build and lead a global sustainability network across regions and business units; Drive collaboration with Legal, Compliance and ICT; Build and manage relationships with auditors, rating agencies, certification bodies, NGOs and regulators; Shape BESIX’s sustainability positioning in close collaboration with Communication; Coach and empower stakeholders across the organisation; Foster alignment and collaboration across a complex, international business environment
