What They're Looking For.
Must Have
ACA / ACCA qualified, 8+ years PQE, Technical accounting expertise (IFRS), Hands-on experience of tax, compliance and financial operations, Solid treasury, cashflow and banking experience, Experience with ERP/accounting systems, Advanced Excel and systems capability
Nice to Have
Experience within science, technology or complex/joint venture environments, Knowledge of UK R&D tax credit schemes, Genuine interest in Tokamak Energy’s mission

Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
Contribute to strategic decision-making
Own and continuously improve group financial control environment
timely and compliant financial reporting
Lead preparation and consolidation of group results
quarterly and annual reporting cycles
Oversee statutory accounts
Manage and deliver the annual external audit process
Drive improvements to financial systems
Establish robust internal controls
Define best-in-class period-end processes
Define reporting standards
Take ownership of group cash management
Take ownership of treasury operations
Take ownership of working capital
Ensure global tax compliance
Lead R&D tax credit claims
Lead related initiatives
Stay ahead of regulatory changes
Ensure ongoing compliance
Collaborate with FP&A to support planning
Collaborate with FP&A to support forecasting
Collaborate with FP&A to support business insight
Support the CFO on strategic projects
Support the CFO on financial initiatives
Partner with the People team on payroll
Partner with the People team on pensions
Partner with the People team on related compliance
