What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or related or equivalent combination of education and experience, Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial controls, PLC programming, and manufacturing automation systems, Hands-on experience with PLC platforms (Rockwell) and HMI development, Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols at the machine level, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment, Ability to manage multiple priorities and support multi-site operations, communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams, compliance with machine safety and controls-related safety standards (OSHA, MIOSHA, RIA, and corporate requirements), Support internal and external audits related to ISO 9001: 2015 and IATF 16949, Support and comply with Standard Operating Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System)
Nice to Have
Familiarity with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence or similar) and their integration into control systems, Exposure to advanced controls and Industry 4. 0 concepts such as data collection, diagnostics, and connected equipment
What You'll Do.

Provide technical support to divisions for equipment integration
Contribute to development of global controls standards
Analyze manufacturing requirements
Support controls assessments
and maintain standardized PLC programming structures

Provide hands-on support for controls integration
and related control systems
Support integration of controls systems with robotics
Assist in deployment and validation of vision systems
Support divisional teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Participate in automation projects
supporting controls scope
Contribute to development and continuous improvement of controls standards
Develop and implement advanced controls and Industry 4.0 solutions
Support pilot projects and proof-of-concept development
Collaborate with Automation
Provide technical support and training to plant teams
Support use of simulation
and virtual commissioning tools
Ensure compliance with machine safety and controls-related safety standards
Support internal and external audits related to ISO 9001: 2015 and IATF 16949
Identify and implement improvements to controls systems
