previous experience as a yard crew member or as part of a railway operations team
What You'll Do.
Perform safe rail yard operations
including movements involving rail cars
Move rail cars and coordinate movements according to operational plans
Couple and uncouple rail cars during rail operations
Operate rail equipment and shuttle trains
Communicate with the team using a radio to direct and secure movements
including indicating when to start
and apply or release air brakes
Board moving rail cars using side ladders
Perform various related tasks associated with the site’s rail operations
