Must Have
Previous experience as a Superintendent or in a similar operational leadership role, Demonstrated experience supervising stevedoring or marine terminal operations, Ability to make sound operational decisions in a dynamic, safety-sensitive environment, Experience working in grain handling, oilseeds, pulses, or bulk commodity operations, Familiarity with vessel stowage planning, stability requirements, and port operations, Equivalent combinations of education and experience that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and competencies will be considered

Support seamless vessel operations
Supervise and coordinate the work of Foremen and Longshore workers engaged in vessel loading
Assess loading priorities
Determine personnel requirements on a shift-by-shift basis and coordinate dispatch
Dispatch Longshore Foremen daily
Act as a liaison between Longshore labour and Terminal Supervisors
Direct loading operations
Supervise checking and loading
Prepare shift reports
Manage and apply knowledge of stow factors
cargo characteristics
and grain sensitivities
Prepare stow plans and pre-arrival conditions
Liaise with the Vessel Master and Chief Officer throughout the loading rotation
Provide on-site supervision for each shift
Attend vessels prior to completion to oversee final loading sequences
Prepare final stow plans and issue final loading reports upon completion
Ensure adherence to Safety
and Environmental (SH&E) requirements at all times
