What They're Looking For.
Must Have
A background in software quality and exploratory testing, Understanding of testing concepts, methodologies and processes, Knowledge and experience working with Docker, Experience with either C# or Java, Ability to learn and/or adapt quickly to highly complex issues, Experience contributing to user stories and acceptance criteria, Basic understanding of practical networking concepts (TCP/IP) and containerised environments

What You'll Do.
Defining and executing the quality and testing strategy for your team
Coaching other team members to ensure software quality is considered throughout the development process
Design test charters and perform session based exploratory testing
Working closely with the Product Team and developers to ensure we are building the right software for our customers
Embracing a shift-left approach to software quality
Enhancing and utilising our observability stack
Embracing a shift-right approach to software quality
Implement risk based testing strategies
Actively grow our culture of quality and engage in quality related topics across the organisation
Pair with your teammates
expand your knowledge and contribute to the delivery of high-quality
Investigate and perform root cause analysis on bugs
Diving into the code when necessary
Discuss and design software architecture
Contribute to whiteboard sessions
Help developers brainstorm what should be covered in the automated tests
Contributing to automation where appropriate
Acting as a point of contact regarding product knowledge
Attend knowledge sharing sessions with other testers and developers across the company

Quality Engineers at Trayport share an unrivaled passion for quality, software testing and love nothing more than voraciously and persistently hunting down bugs, investigating potential issues and also preventing them from being introduced in the first place to help to make our software the best it can be. **The Role** Our Quality Engineers use a combination of shift-left and shift-right testing techniques, exploratory testing, technical testing and test automation to build quality into our software, working closely with the rest of their team and coaching others on how to write better software.
