Must Have
Engineering in Mechanical or a related engineering discipline, basic understanding of engineering design principles, basic understanding of verification processes, basic understanding of risk assessment, knowledge of materials, including metals, elastomers, welding, and heat treatment processes, awareness of relevant industry standards and engineering codes, concientious, adaptable, eager to learn in a structured engineering environment, written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively within a team, ability to respond professionally to changing work demands, familiarity with engineering design tools, familiarity with calculation software, familiarity with PDM/document management systems, permanent work permit in UK

Interpret customer engineering specifications
Produce layout designs
Produce detail designs
Produce assembly designs
Assist with creation of work packs
Review detail drawings
Support small engineering teams
Develop conceptual design requirements
Develop conceptual design layouts
Create detail drawings
Create fabrication drawings
Create assembly drawings
Support manufacturing
Apply design-for-manufacture principles
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Participate in design verification activities
Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures
Support Prototype Verification Test (PVT) procedures
Document test results
Ensure design documentation archiving
Ensure design data archiving
Identify opportunities to improve products
