This role provides an opportunity to work across a range of design and analysis activities that support real Defence aviation operations. You’ll be exposed to disciplines such as structures, avionics, and mechanical systems, while contributing to engineering work that supports airworthiness, safety, and fleet capability. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands‑on experience applying design engineering principles to real‑world Defence challenges. **What you’ll be doing** As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will: * Support the design of aircraft repairs and modifications * Assist with developing technical data, engineering analyses, and compliance reports * Help assess engineering issues, technical data, and occurrences in line with engineering and regulatory requirements * Support the incorporation of engineering changes, including understanding impacts to configuration and risk * Contribute to engineering outputs that support continued aircraft operations, safety, and compliance * Support system safety activities, identifying and communicating engineering risks * Work closely with engineering leaders, maintenance teams, and operator representatives on technical matters This role provides an opportunity to build your capability, learn from experienced engineers, and develop confidence in a real Defence engineering environment.
