What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years in e-commerce, marketplaces or digital retail with business development and commercial management proven track record scaling categories or merchant ecosystems, Demonstrable experience and established relationship in category development for Health & Beauty, Fashion, Home Living, or related retail categories (brands, distributors, wholesalers), Experience managing and developing account management or commercial teams, with a bias for coaching and performance management, Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence senior stakeholders across Product, Ops, Marketing and Partnerships, Commercial acumen — able to build business cases, set pricing and promotional strategies, and balance short-term performance with long-term strategic growth, Comfortable working with data and analytics to define KPIs, run experiments and make evidence-based decisions, Excellent written and verbal communication skills in presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
Nice to Have
MBA or equivalent is a plus
What You'll Do.
Lead and coach the Account Management team to ensure best-in-class merchant operations
pricing competitiveness
Define category growth strategies for target categories
including Health & Beauty
Execute these strategies through assortment planning
promotional calendars
and pricing/GM strategies
Own and run cross-functional projects (product launches
pilot programs) from scoping to rollout and measurement
Build and maintain merchant relationships and partnerships (brands
supplier networks) to accelerate onboarding and exclusive assortment where relevant
Continually monitor category and merchant OKRs (GMV
catalogue completeness
fulfilment) and iterate commercial levers to hit targets
Drive stakeholder alignment and present business cases
performance reviews and forecasts to senior leadership
Use performance data and market insights to identify new business opportunities
pricing levers and promotional tactics to improve unit economics
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Legal, Marketing, Operations and Analytics to align priorities, remove execution blockers and optimize merchant/consumer funnels; Drive stakeholder alignment and present business cases, performance reviews and forecasts to senior leadership
Communication Scope
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
Process & Methodology
