Full Job Description
At [CERN](http://home.cern), the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Introduction This function, within in the [office of the CIO](https://cio.web.cern.ch/office-of-the-chief-information-officer/), supports development of policies and their compliance in transversal computing activities across CERN, providing advice and analytical expertise to the departments on implementation in areas such as Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity and Risk Management. Functions: * Lead the participation in the CIO Community Technical Committees, task forces and cross-department working groups providing advice in the CIO domain. * Coordinate implementation of the Office of the CIO GRC workplan items and reviewing CIO policies with the CERN community. * Contribute to reviews of new digital initiatives, ensuring compliance with GRC policies. * Advise the CIO on implications of ongoing activities in aspects of computing services. ## Qualifications Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Information Technology or a related field. Experience: * Experience in computing service architecture, design and delivery. * Solid understanding of IT governance concepts and policies. * Excellent analytics skills with an ability to work effectively in a federated environment with distributed responsibilities.
