What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Background in sourcing capital equipment, automated manufacturing equipment, materials handling, fleet, power and electrical equipment, fluency in equipment commercial structures, factory and site acceptance terms, spares and warranty economics, lifecycle cost analysis, 5+ years sourcing experience in capital equipment, manufacturing automation, industrial CAPEX, excel and spreadsheet skills, organizational and project management skills, written and verbal communication skills, Flexible mindset and temperament, Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Nice to Have
record of applying first principles thinking toward supplier negotiations, record of managing successful escalations up to the executive level within a supplier, Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs, Experience with MRP/ERP systems
What You'll Do.
Lead end-to-end RFx processes for capital equipment
Source automated manufacturing equipment
Source materials handling and warehouse infrastructure
Source fleet and vehicles
Source power and electrical CAPEX equipment
Build and maintain spares strategy
Build and maintain should-cost models
Negotiate equipment pricing
Own the commercial relationship with equipment OEMs
Synthesize findings and present recommendations
