Full Job Description

The Global Design team is looking for a creative, innovative, results-oriented designer with experience leading the design of Signage and Wayfinding systems for corporate workplace. This role will be based in Arlington, VA, and will be responsible for supporting the Global Design Team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Design. This role will support the Design teams across 3 global regions (AMER, EMEA and APAC) and will work closely with the Design & Construction (D&C) team, the Workplace Guidelines & Standards team and the Regional Portfolio Managers (RPM) team. This role will be responsible for managing, updating and evolving the Signage and Wayfinding Design System for Corporate Workplace, including the development of new elements as needed to ensure standardization. The Signage and Wayfinding Designer will work to leverage the system as it’s been designed, and evolve it as-needed for regional or new requirements in a way that ensures high-quality deliverables and on-time delivery. Over time, this role should gain familiarity with Amazon’s Global corporate workplace portfolio in order to ensure that the elements of the signage and wayfinding system are applicable regionally. This role will also work with the Workplace Guidelines & Standards team, and the Design & Construction Delivery teams, though the role is not responsible for updating the Guidelines &Standards, nor for Delivery of the final signage elements. The successful candidate has experience in design of signage and wayfinding for corporate workplace – including education and experience in design of signage and wayfinding system, deep knowledge of industry benchmarks, and the ability to evaluate potential solutions on the basis of aesthetic and budget specific knowledge. The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly about the design of the signage and wayfinding system at all levels, and yet is not afraid to dive deep into details and is able to design certain elements independently
