What You’ll Get to Do The Glass Cutting Handler is focused on ensuring a quality glass product is produced safely and efficiently and reports to the Shift Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who likes to work with a small team, has strong attention to detail and who takes pride in their work. A vital member of the Operations Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. Job responsibilities include: Ensure proper reading of tags for glass selection and department requirements Ability to manually cut glass and pull sheets of glass when required Break – out scored pieces of glass and inspect edges for quality and reject if required Based on tag information place tagged glass on rack, dolly, or A-frame as required Perform single and team lifts to safely transfer glass from Cutting Table to A-frame/rack/dolly What We Are Looking For Positive attitude with team orientation Strong organizational skills Willingness to learn new things and cross train in new areas Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands Ability to lift up to 50lbs-75lbs regularly over shift and remain standing for long periods What OBE Offers You Benefits that benefit you – industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employee Work-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose Compensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potentia
